12/31/2013 __ I have been devoting more and more time of late writing for film, t.v. and media, while continuing my teaching at Hunter College and the Harlem School of the Arts (go here, just past the 3 min mark, for a CBS news piece on myself and my wunderkind 11-year-old student Matt Whitaker), doing live performances, and preparing for the launch of Jazz As a Verb (my online membership program devoted to open-minded jazz-related instruction).
